Regenerative organic supply chains, built by someone who has run one.

I'm Cameron Molberg. I founded and scaled a pasture-raised poultry company to tens of millions in annual sales, ran an organic feed mill and egg operation before that, and chaired the standards board of the Real Organic Project. Now I work in the missing middle: the processing, aggregation, and certified supply that has to exist between a regenerative farm and a shelf.

The missing middle

Demand for regenerative organic food is real. The infrastructure between farm and shelf is what's missing.

Consumers and brands want it. Farmers can grow it. What's scarce is everything in between: processors that will take small lots, aggregation that makes mid-size farms viable, feed and grain supply that meets the standard, and the certification records that hold it all together. That gap is where I work.

Brands and buyers

You've committed to regenerative or Regenerative Organic Certified sourcing and now need producers, processing capacity, cold chain, and a spec you can actually hold suppliers to. I've built that stack twice.

Ranchers and producers

You raise or grow the right way and want the premium. I help you get certified, get through FSIS and label-claim requirements, transition acres to regenerative organic grain and legumes, and get placed with buyers who will pay for it.

Services

Four ways to work together

Supply chain and sourcing

Producer recruitment and aggregation, processor and co-packer selection, cold-chain and distribution design, cost modeling, and the contracts that hold it together. For brands that need certified animal protein at volume.

Certification and standards

ROC, USDA Organic, pasture-raised, grass-fed, and humane claims: what each actually requires, what auditors look for, and how to build records that pass. I helped write standards; I know where operations trip up.

Land and crop transition

Moving acres into Regenerative Organic Certified grain and legume production: transition planning, rotation and input strategy, the paperwork, and a buyer at the end of it. Domestic certified feed and food-grade grain is one of the tightest links in the chain, and it's where a lot of the near-term opportunity sits.

Fractional operating leadership

Interim or fractional COO for specialty food companies between stages: P&L discipline, team build-out, systems, and investor readiness. Board and advisory roles for companies where governance matters.

About

Why me

Known to some as an "encyclopedia in blue jeans."

I'm on a mission to increase access to high-quality pasture-raised organic products while building the infrastructure that lets rural economies grow with them.

I started working with local farmers in 2007 as a manager at a startup organic restaurant chain in Austin. Constant shortages of local organic product pushed me upstream: I went on to run the first commercial organic feed mill in Texas and build one of the largest organic pasture-based egg farms in the southern United States. Most recently I was CEO of Greener Pastures Chicken, a regenerative organic pasture-raised chicken farm in Texas, and scaled it significantly before stepping away to focus on the next chapter in organic and regenerative food systems.

Along the way I've negotiated with distributors, sat across from FSIS inspectors, raised growth capital from impact investors, and rebuilt a supply chain when a processor fell through. I've also sat on the other side of the table writing the standards operations get audited against. I know what a label claim promises, what it costs to deliver, and where the gap between the two usually opens up.

I serve as President of the Board of Directors of The Cornucopia Institute and previously chaired the Real Organic Project Standards Board. I'm based in Austin and work with farmers, brands, and organizations across the country.
